Worker Data Uploads
The data upload wizard (for both workers and outcomes files) should only be used by employers with fewer than 25,000 employees. Larger employers should use our SFTP option, as the UI is not designed to support uploads for larger files.
In general, customers are encouraged to upload their full workforce in the workers file, as that is needed to build a complete manager hierarchy in the app as well as populating a full pick list of options for ONA questions.
Note that in the survey builder, Survey Admins can specify a list of people to receive the survey (“survey recipients”), independent of the people who show up as options in the network analysis questions. Our platform provides the flexibility to provide three independent sets of people across (a) active workers, (b) survey recipients, and (c) lists of people in network analysis questions.
Important:
- People who are not provided in the workers data cannot be options for network analysis questions. The worker data provides required information, such as their job title and email.
- The Worker data snapshots are used to determine who is active and who has terminated from the organization. If a worker does not appear on at least one worker snapshot with a termination date, we will assume they are active, and it will remain possible to send them surveys (e.g., a lifecycle survey based on a service anniversary date).
- Populate a Termination Date only for people who should receive an exit survey invitation (e.g., voluntary terminations). For sensitive situations in which future-dated involuntary terminations are entered into your HRIS (e.g., upcoming reductions in force), do not populate this Termination Date field, as this would result in the impacted employees learning about the upcoming termination prior to the effective date.
