Frequently Asked Questions

What data does OrgAcuity access? OrgAcuity only reads user email addresses and basic profile information to match employees. It does not read messages, channels, files, calendars, or any other workspace data.

Can OrgAcuity read my employees' messages? No. OrgAcuity can only send direct messages. It cannot read chats, channels, files, or any other content in your Slack workspace or Teams environment.

Why does Microsoft Teams require admin consent? OrgAcuity uses application-level permissions to send messages to employees on behalf of your organization. This is the standard Microsoft pattern for automated notifications and requires a tenant admin to approve.

What happens if an employee isn't on Slack or Teams? They will still receive their survey invitation and reminders via email. Slack and Teams are additional delivery channels, not replacements for email.

Can I customize the messages? Yes. When setting up a survey, you can edit the message content for each platform in the survey wizard's distribution step.

Who receives messages? Only employees whose work email in OrgAcuity matches a user on the connected platform. OrgAcuity never messages users outside of your employee list.

Can I use both Slack and Teams at the same time? Yes. You can connect both platforms and enable both as distribution methods for a survey. Each employee will receive a message on whichever platform matches their work email.
